SDG Forum is a non-profit organization that is engaged in promoting innovation solutions for attaining Sustainable Development Goals.
Mission Statement:
To accelerate progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 through Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (MSP) Bottom-up approach, adoption of sustainable smart technologies and development of entrepreneurship especially social entrepreneurship to catalyze trans-formative programs and projects in key strategic sectors.
Focus Areas:
- Creating and supporting Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships to plan, design, implement and monitor transformative action programs and projects to accelerate progress towards reaching SDG targets
- Mobilizing private sector investments (PPPs), blended finance and climate finance to fund those transformative action programs
- Supporting private sector companies through planning, designing, implementing and monitoring transformative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs which make a significant contribution to reach SDGs
- Collaborate with bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors and development partners to prepare Country Partnership Strategies tailored to achieve SDGs and facilitate design of donor funded programs and projects
- Recommend, assist trial, experiment new technologies that help the progress towards achieving SDGs
- Create a platform for social media to generate interest and attention, create awareness, innovate new ideas and dialogue, and formulate consensus on SDGs
- Collaborate with the private sector to engage in social business, create social entrepreneurship to remedy market failures and foster innovation with a special focus on promoting indigenous technologies with the focus to achieve SDGs
- Provide business incubator services that are geared toward speeding up the growth and success of startup and early stage companies that are involved in achieving SDG targets
- While the SDG Forum will support all SDGs, it will have a special focus for the following in terms of prioritizing, planning and mobilizing finance for transformative action programs.
