What is SDG Forum Institute ?

SDG Forum Institute (SGDF) is a Non-profit Sustainability Research & Development(R& D) forum, engaged in promoting innovative solutions to accelerate attainment of Sustainable Development Goals.

It is a platform for young professionals and emerging sustainability practitioners from different disciplines to join hands with their expertise to assist the country’s effort to achieve SDG Goals by 2030.

What are the SDGs?

SDGs: Sustainable Development Goal

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity are an UN initiative.

The 17 Goals build on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals known as MDGs, while including new areas such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected – often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.

Bangladesh’s Adoption To The SDGs

After getting upgraded to the standards of developing country, Bangladesh has finally started to adopt the SDGs, built on the success of the MDGs. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), developed and developing – in a global partnership.

Bangladesh government with all it’s support is working towards achieving this goal for a safer, firmer and brighter community development with the sustainability.
